    LIMITED SPACE? HIGH LIFTING CAPACITY!

H-style outriggers, which can be positioned asymmetrically, ensures optimal placement on the job site.

When space is limited, the outriggers of a crane can often only be extended to different distances and not to their full width. This results in an asymmetrical outrigger base. With the HK 4.070-1, the intelligent AML crane control ensures that the lifting capacity can be fully utilised at any angle of rotation. Ultimately, we expect top performance from our cranes at all times, and that starts with the set-up. The H-style outriggers do not require any additional lateral space when extended, quite the opposite of the widely used slewing outriggers. Five outrigger bases offer maximum flexibility! Compared to the predecessor, the chassis can also be raised higher due to the deeper frame.

THE HK 4.070-1 AS A 70 TONNE TAXI CRANE

Can carry 10,1 t counterweight at 12-tonne axle load.

Hello taxi! Get in, get going and get the job done – without worrying about additional, complex transport logistics. The HK 4.070-1 as a taxi crane with a total weight of <32 t requires nothing apart from itself – not even additional transport. Its taxi concept includes a powerful hook block and allows for extra weight for load securing equipment. Thus, the crane has everything on board which it needs for lifting.

    • 0 t counterweight: permit-free on the road with < 32 t total weight and nevertheless 7.1 t counterweight on the trailer
    • 6.1 t counterweight: on the trailer with < 40.0 t gross vehicle weight still permit-free
    • 7.1 t counterweight: on the trailer with < 41.8 t total gross vehicle weight and simplified approval
    • 15.2 t counterweight: 5 t more than the competition* for optimum performance

    CUTTING-EDGE RADIUS AND LOAD CAPACITY

    Lifts up to 55.6 t at 3 m radius and with 10.1 t counterweight.

Compared to the competition and also to its predecessor, the HK 4.070-1 impresses above all with higher lifting capacities on the short boom – top class in confined environments.

    IN A NUTSHELL

    • 60.2 m max. tip height
    • 54 m max. radius
    • 55.6 t at 3 m radius (10.1 t counterweight)
    • 33.7 t holding load
    • up to additional 15.8 m main boom extension

EXTREME MANOEUVRABILITY DUE TO INNOVATIVE CHASSIS

Up to 2 m smaller turning radius thanks to steered front and trailing axles and new axle positioning.

Three rear axles with integrated trailing axle reduce the turning radius enormously. The result is impressive: 2 m turning radius saved, optimum traction thanks to two driven rear axles, and the space directly behind the front axle now also allows H-style outriggers for best in class 360° load capacity.

    THE FEATURES IN DETAIL

    • Optimum manoeuvrability: Not only the steered trailing axle enables the particularly small turning radius compared to the standard 8×4 axle configuration, but also the triple rear axle positioned to the front in general.
    • Strong traction: Two driven axles provide reliable traction on uneven terrain and in winter. The permanent axle drive is more reliable, more powerful and more economical than a hydrostatic wheel hub drive.
    • Best axle load due to adapted wheelbase: A compact tridem axle (2 x 1.4 m wheelbase) is likely to carry only 24 t in total. However, with a wheelbase of 1.45 m to the rear trailing axle, the triple axle of the TADANO truck-mounted cranes allows a total of 27 t.
