Taxi crane with 12-tonne axle load
Taxi crane with 26,500-lb axle load

Like the AC 5.250-2, the AC 5.250L-2 offers outstanding transport configurations. With a three-sheave hook block and a 12-meter extension, it maintains a 12-tonne axle load while carrying essential lifting equipment. Its ability to transport a 32-tonne Vario hook block, outriggers, and additional gear enhances its flexibility on job sites. Running on 16-inch steel rims, the crane operates efficiently as a taxi crane without requiring a support vehicle. If needed, increasing the axle load to 16.5 tonnes allows it to carry up to 20 tonnes of counterweight, ensuring optimal performance for demanding lifting tasks.
Like the AC 5.250-2, the AC 5.250L-2 offers outstanding transport configurations. With a three-sheave hook block and a 39.4-foot extension, it maintains a 26,500-lb axle load while carrying essential lifting equipment. Its ability to transport a 70,500-lb Vario hook block, outriggers, and additional gear enhances its flexibility on job sites. Running on 16-inch steel rims, the crane operates efficiently as a taxi crane without requiring a support vehicle. If needed, increasing the axle load to 36,400 lbs allows it to carry up to 44,000 lbs of counterweight, ensuring optimal performance for demanding lifting tasks.

acceptAdvanced Tadano Technology On Board

The AC 5.250L-2 is packed with state-of-the-art Tadano technology to enhance lifting performance, safety, and ease of operation. Like all cranes in the Tadano AC family, it comes equipped with the innovative IC-1 Plus crane control system. This intelligent system calculates real-time lifting capacities based on the boom position and superstructure slewing angle, ensuring the crane always operates at its maximum possible capacity—even when outriggers are asymmetrically extended.
For improved job site efficiency, the optional Tadano Surround View system provides a clear, real-time visual of the crane’s surroundings, including a display of the maximum possible outrigger extension at the current position. This technology enables precise setup without the need for time-consuming manual measurements, allowing operators to position the crane optimally from the start.
Comfort and safety are also key priorities. Noise-reducing hydraulic components, well-placed access steps, and attachment points for personal safety equipment ensure a secure and ergonomic working environment. Additionally, the AC 5.250L-2 features an Eco Mode function that optimizes fuel consumption by adjusting engine power to match lifting demands, reducing both operational costs and environmental impact.
Impressive reach and flexibility

The new Tadano AC 5.250L-2 stands out with its remarkable 79-meter-long main boom, setting a new standard in its class. With self-erecting extensions ranging from 5.8 to 30 meters, this crane reaches a maximum system length of 109 meters, making it ideal for urban projects and high-rise applications. Its strong load moment of up to 736 tonne-meters ensures outstanding performance, while an optional heavy-lift attachment allows for even greater lifting capacity. Whether assembling large tower cranes or maneuvering loads in tight urban spaces, the AC 5.250L-2 delivers exceptional reach and versatility.
The new Tadano AC 5.250L-2 stands out with its remarkable 259.2-foot-long main boom, setting a new standard in its class. With self-erecting extensions ranging from 19 to 98.4 feet, this crane reaches a maximum system length of 357.6 feet, making it ideal for urban projects and high-rise applications. Its strong load moment of up to 541,600 ft-lbs ensures outstanding performance, while an optional heavy-lift attachment allows for even greater lifting capacity. EVERYTHING IN VIEW – TADANO SURROUND VIEW
360 degree view for the crane operator.

The AC 5.250L-2 features six cameras that keep everything in view. With the help of a computer-assisted diagram, this makes it possible to graphically show the possible extension lengths for the outriggers and the counterweight tailswing radius on the display in the carrier cab. This makes it significantly easier to position the crane at job sites. And Tadano Surround View also helps on the way to the site by making it easier for crane operators to notice pedestrians and cyclists when turning.
Designed for Operator Comfort and Safety
The AC 5.250L-2 was developed with a strong focus on the needs of crane operators, ensuring both comfort and safety during operation. To minimize noise levels in the cab, Tadano has positioned all major hydraulic components away from the superstructure, creating a quieter work environment. Additionally, both cabs offer generous space, providing a comfortable setting for long shifts.
Safety is also a top priority, with strategically placed access steps and secure attachment points for personal safety equipment. A retractable step from the carrier simplifies safe entry and exit from the superstructure cab. To further enhance driving comfort, the standard hill start assist system prevents rollback on inclines, making maneuvering on challenging terrain smooth and stress-free.
