    The Ideal 360° View During Project WorK

    The optional Tadano Surround View makes it easier for the crane operator to position the crane at the job site, providing the ultimate 360° awareness. The Surround View works wonders for support when turning left or right or uncovering blind spots that may hide pedestrians, cyclists, or obstacles. This patented system also uses the six crane cameras to display the possible outreach of the outriggers, as well as the tail swing radius at the current position of the crane in a computer-aided display.

    Enhance Outrigger Positioning While Optimizing Lift Capacity

    With Flex Base the crane is able to work with asymmetric and stepless outrigger positioning.

    The innovative Flex Base stepless outrigger system makes it possible to extend the outriggers to any point within their range. It offers the operator real-time determination for positioning right up to obstructions to achieve the largest possible outrigger base. This helps to optimize lift capacities for a lot of all terrain cranes, which are all nimble and compact models perfect for completing jobs in tight spaces. Flex Base, as the IC-1 Plus control system, automatically identifies outrigger setup, installed counterweight, superstructure angle, main boom length, and telescoping sequence.

    Among various impressive characteristics, one stands out in particular: The AC 4.070-2 can transport its entire maximum counterweight of 13.1 tons by itself while staying within an axle load limit of 13.2 tons, and can still manage an impressive 4.9 tons when the axle load is reduced to 11 tons instead. This makes the AC 4.070-2 an extremely versatile taxi crane that can take care of numerous jobs by itself without the need for additional transportation vehicles.

    The measure of things: AC 4.070-2 lifting capacities

    With a main boom length of 164 feet, the Tadano AC 4.070-2 can lift a good 7.8 tons at a radius of 32.8 feet – a lifting capacity that no other crane in this class can match.

    Available upon request: Zero-emission crane operation with the E-Pack

    With a special transportation cradle and the required hydraulic connections, the AC 4.070-2 comes prepared for work with the ESTA-award-winning Tadano E-Pack as standard. This expands the crane’s range of applications to indoor projects and cleanrooms, for example.

    The electro-hydraulic system with an integrated 32-kW electric motor:

    • Makes extremely quiet zero-emission crane operation possible
    • Is able to carry out all crane functions without any negative impact on the corresponding maximum lifting capacity
    • Has performance characteristics that are fully comparable to those achieved with operation with a diesel engine in many work areas.
