Combining powerful performance with a compact design
When it comes to making maximum power fit in a small space, no one even comes close to Tadano engineers and technicians. And there is good reason for this, as this combination is one of our traditions, as well as an explicit development target – after all, what we want is to enable our customers to get to the tightest work sites out there with their Tadano cranes so that they can put all their power and performance to work and safely complete their jobs.
The measure of our worth
Many of our customers consider the compact design behind our machines to be a vital factor when deciding on a Tadano crane – and this should come as no surprise, as the available space at work sites keeps shrinking, while growing traffic in urban areas is making bottlenecks more common. Accordingly, we make sure to take this situation into account from the moment we start developing a new crane.
When every centimeter counts…
… there is usually only one choice in most lifting capacity classes, and that is a compact Tadano crane – for example, the Tadano AC 4.080-1, which is the most compact four-axle unit on the market, and the Tadano AC 7.450-1, which features a carrier that is no longer than the one found on six-axle machines. And there is also the Tadano AC 8.500-1, which is significantly shorter than comparable competitor models.
Meanwhile, the Tadano AC 4.100L-1 also raises the bar: It is the only crane in the 100-tonne class to have a standard carrier with a width of only 2.55 meters even when equipped with large tires (445/95R25). Finally, it would be an injustice not to mention Tadano City cranes, as they are practically a synonym of cranes with particularly compact designs.
